Clifton Forge Public Library Clifton Forge Public Library serves the Towns of Clifton Forge, Iron Gate, and Alleghany County.

Clifton Forge is located in the beautiful Alleghany Highlands of the northern portion of Southwest Virginia. The Clifton Forge Public Library is pleased to serve the needs of this area. The CFPL is supported by a vibrant Friends of the Library group that always welcomes new members! The CFPL is also fortunate to have a Library Board serving as a public trustee in a advisory capacity.

IT'S HAPPENING TODAY! AT 11:00. Sue Ellen Haver will be here with her very sweet and smart dog, and she'll be helping us celebrate America's 250th Birthday. We'll salute the flag, talk about some important people who made our country great. We'll talk about why we love our country. Book lovers, book readers, those who hope to read eventually - the Library is the place to be. The foyer has many nice FREE books, and new ones are added almost weekly. In the Church Street side of the library is our ongoing book sale - books in good condition, and many are brand new.

Prices are $1 for hardback and $ .50 for paper backs. Books on the table - knitting, quilting, applique, bead working, etc., are $ .25. A hundred or more music CDs are $ .25; movies are $1.50. Our Fall Book Sale - yahoo! - will be held in October. Come stock up on these inexpensive books, for yourself, or to give. We also take book donations anytime the library is open.
