Midlakes Schools The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District is located in the heart of the Finger Lakes.

🎉📜Senior Grayson Roeland joined the the Debate and Leadership Institute Leadership Conference in Philadelphia, co-hosted by the Institute and Founding Forward along with the Bill of Rights Institute. 📜🏫

Roeland was invited back with a full scholarship after visiting during a Midlakes field trip to the Spirit of America Program in Valley Forge, with Taryn Windheim and Angela Simmons.

At the conference, Roeland participated in debate activities, discussions, and leadership exercises. While developing structured arguments and presenting skills, the students also worked to learn how to listen to other views while clearly explaining or defending a position. The final day included a trip to the Union League of Philadelphia 🔔, using their new tools in debates with peers.

Dan Friday joins Midlakes as the new Business Manager. Learn more about Mr. Friday on Midlakes.org.

HIs official start date will be Sept. 28. He takes over for interim Business Manager Richard Walker. Karl Dubash accepted a position of assistant superintendent with Pittsford Schools; he held the business manager position since November 2021.

Several Midlakes students took part in a Junior Sheriff’s Academy, hosted in conjunction with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Department. 🚓⭐

Potter received the Esprit De Corps Award in recognition of exceptional teamwork, loyalty and unwavering commitment to fellow cadets. Garcia received the Sheriff’s Excellence Award. 🎉📜🎖

For those visiting campus Friday, there will be extensive paving operations on the northern entrance off State Route 488. The entrance will be closing Friday afternoon through Sunday for roadwork, from the High School bus loop and Soccer concession stand through the Elementary School and parent loop.

Campus remains open. Use discretion if visiting the Elementary building.
