Clifton, KS

Clifton, KS Clifton and Vining are located in North Central Kansas. Vining borders the western edge of Clifton.

What were once two different towns, today are considered one community, with the exception that both towns still have their own city councils. They share the distinction of being located in two counties, the county line being Parallel Street, the main street of both cities. North of Parallel is Washington County, and south of Parallel is Clay County. Parallel Street is also Kansas Highway 9 most of the way through Clifton.

🚒🔥 Training Day with Clay Center Fire Department 🔥🚒

On Monday, April 6th, four of our Clifton Fire Department volunteer firefighters had the opportunity to take part in hands-on search and rescue training with Clay Center.

This valuable experience helps sharpen their skills, strengthen teamwork, and prepare them for real-life emergency situations where every second counts. We’re proud of their commitment to serving our community and continuing to grow as first responders.

💪 Ever thought about becoming a volunteer firefighter? This is your chance to step up, learn lifesaving skills, and make a real difference right here in Clifton. No experience needed—just a willingness to serve and be part of something bigger than yourself.
