The Clifton Lions Club is hosting a DEA Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, October 25th, 2025. This program provides the opportunity for members of the public to safely dispose of unused prescription medications.
WHAT: NATIONAL PRESCRIPTION DRUG TAKE-BACK DAY
WHO: US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) & the Clifton Lions Club
WHEN: Saturday, October 25, 2025 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
WHERE: Clifton Presbyterian Church Parking Lot (off of Main Street behind Trummer's Restaurant)
WHY: The drug overdose epidemic in the United States is a clear and present public health, public safety, and national security threat. The DEA's National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day reflects Clifton Lions/DEA's commitment to Americans' safety and health by encouraging the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction from ever starting. Many young people who misuse prescription drugs take them from home medicine cabinets.
HOW: Simply drive through the drop-off area and hand your medication containers from your vehicle to a staff member. All drugs are handled, controlled, disposed of only by official DEA Agents. There is no cost.
• We WILL accept all solid dosage and liquid prescription and non-prescription drugs, e-cigarettes and va**ng devices.
• We will NOT accept intravenous solutions, injectables nor syringes.
• Personal labeling should be removed from all medication containers before dropping them off.
• We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, October 25th, 2025 at the designated drop-off location.
