Water Valve Maintenance Notice – Clifton Zone 6

PVWC contractors will be operating valves in Clifton Zone 6 on Friday, October 23, and Monday, October 26, through Friday, October 30, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Work includes maintaining valves, locating broken valves, and identifying and repairing broken or paved-over valves. Areas include W. 1st through W. 4th Streets, Main Avenue, Vreeland Avenue, Piaget Avenue, and Fairmount Avenue.

Customers on or near these streets may experience temporary water discoloration or a slight drop in water pressure. If discoloration occurs, run cold water from the lowest tap in your home until it runs clear.

PASSAIC VALLEY WATER COMMISSION NOTICE TO PATERSON CUSTOMERS

Passaic Valley Water Commission is committed to providing our customers with high-quality drinking water and service. As part of our on-going improvement program, we are installing a combined total of approximately 1,000 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron pipe on Japer Street from Union Avenue to Totowa Avenue. Please note that parking and access may be restricted for limited times at these locations.

Please be advised that this work is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 12, 2026, and will be completed on or around Friday, November 20, 2026. The working hours will range from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

INCONVENIENCE IS TEMPORARY – IMPROVEMENT IS PERMANENT

This effort may result in some unavoidable noise, disruption of service and discoloration to the water. Customers are cautioned to determine if the water is clear before washing clothes (or any other processing), as staining may occur. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We will make every effort to minimize the disturbance and will work closely with local police and officials to reduce traffic problems.
