Last week we had the privilege of hosting several school kids and going to their school to talk about our fire prevention week. What a fun time we had teaching them about fire safety.

Burn ban has been lifted. Please contact the sheriffs office if you intend to burn.

🔥 Bosque County’s burn ban has been lifted, but safe burning rules still apply!

Before you burn:

📞 Call the Bosque County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency number to let dispatch know you will be burning. 254-435-2362

💧 Have an adequate water supply nearby and ready to use if the fire begins to spread.

🌬️ Do NOT burn on windy days. Wind can quickly carry embers and turn a controlled burn into a wildfire.

👀 Stay with your fire and make sure it is completely extinguished before leaving.

Help protect your neighbors, property, and our volunteer firefighters, burn responsibly!

We have responded to two grass fires within the last hour, both started on the side of the road and burned into pastures. Even with all the rain, the top of the ground is still dry. Once again, the burn ban is still in place for Bosque County. No outdoor burning is permitted.
