Walking is one of the simplest ways to support your health, and doing it right after eating comes with a few added advantages. One study found that when older adults who were at risk for type 2 diabetes went for a walk after a meal, they experienced smaller blood sugar spikes in the time following the walk. How long did they walk? Just 15 minutes. A short post-meal walk also helps improve digestion, which can reduce that heavy, overly full feeling after you eat.

A calmer start to the week can help you think more clearly, respond instead of react, and keep one difficult moment from coloring the whole day.

Try one of these stress-management practices:

✨ Visualize how you want to approach the week and set an intention.
🌬️ Take one minute for deep breathing right now and when you need to refocus.
👀 Practice mindfulness by noticing the sights and sounds around you.
💚 Send an encouraging message or do something kind for another person.
🌙 Unplug before bed to give your mind time to settle for sleep.

Choose the one that fits what you need today.
