Important Update: Temporary Drought Rates Begin in June (Reflected on July Bills)

Due to ongoing water shortages impacting our rivers and local water supplies, Clifton Water District has implemented temporary conservation rates to help protect this vital resource.

What this means for you:
• Bills issued in July will reflect the new rates
• Monthly use includes 3,000 gallons—going over may increase your bill
• The more water used beyond that, the higher the cost

This is an important step to help our community conserve water when it matters most.

Water Smart. Grow Strong.

Did you know when you water matters just as much as how much? For a healthier, more water-efficient lawn, aim to water between 6:00 PM and 10:00 AM—with early morning being the best time.

• Cooler temperatures mean less water lost to evaporation
• More water soaks into the soil where your lawn needs it most
• Helps your lawn stay greener while using less water

Avoid watering during the heat of the day—up to half the water can be lost before it even reaches the roots!

Make Your Lawn Tough… Not Thirsty!

Want a lawn that can handle the heat without guzzling water? The secret isn’t watering more—it’s watering smarter. Strong, healthy lawns grow deeper roots, making them more resilient during dry conditions and helping you save water (and money!).

• Water less often, but longer
• Let your grass grow a little taller
• Check soil moisture before turning on the sprinkler

A little change goes a long way in building a lawn that thrives—even in tough conditions.
