This year’s NFPA theme "Charge into Fire Safety" reminds us to stay powered up — safely! Modern life runs on batteries, from phones and e-bikes to tools and toys. But with that power comes responsibility.

💥 Fire Safety Tips:
🔋 Only use batteries and chargers designed for your device.
⚡ Never charge devices under pillows, on beds, or near anything that can burn.
🔥 Stop using batteries that are damaged, swollen, or overheating.

Let’s all “Charge into Fire Safety” together — protecting our homes, our families, and our community.

🚨 Big News: We’re Now the Central Piedmont Fire Department 🚨

As of July 1, 2025, the Pleasant Garden Fire Department and Climax Fire Department have officially merged to form the Central Piedmont Fire Department. You’ll notice our Facebook name, profile picture, and URL have been updated to reflect this change.

This merger allows us to combine resources, personnel, and equipment, covering roughly 78 square miles, to better serve you. Like many departments, we’ve faced volunteer shortages and rising demands, and this step ensures stronger, more sustainable service for our community.

🚒 Improved coordination and coverage across a larger area

🚒 Continued commitment to fast response times and community safety

Today, we remember all who died on Sept. 11, 2001, and all those who succumbed to injuries and illness since the attacks on the United States. We continue to honor you every day and will never forget your bravery and sacrifice.

We would like to take the time to welcome home one of our own! After injuries sustained from an ATV accident, we are happy to report Brayden is finally back from the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, home and recovering! While he still has a long road ahead, we are grateful for the prayers and support received so far. He is a true testament to a walking miracle! We look forward to seeing you back around the station soon!

Preach. 🧑🏼‍🚒🚒❤️

Hold the line.
Hold the standard.

It is hypocritical not to live up to the standard you have for firefighters responding to your own family.

That thought should shape how you work out, how you train, and how you show up.

It should eliminate all the excuses.

But the problem is, it doesn’t.

We have out-of-shape firefighters getting on rigs responding to calls every day.

These same firefighters expect the best coming for their families, but aren’t giving their best for yours.

This job isn’t about convenience.

It isn’t about the title, the paycheck, t-shirts, or the image.

It’s about lives.

It’s about showing up at your absolute best for people who are counting on you, because someday, the person waiting might be your family.

And what do you expect from the FD that covers your home?

You want fit, skilled, and relentless.

So, you better be living up to that.

Every rep in the gym, every hour of training, every moment spent sharpening your craft is an investment, not just in the community, but in the standard you set for yourself.

If you wouldn’t accept laziness, sloppiness, or complacency in the firefighter coming for your family, you can’t accept it in yourself.

I don’t care how many hats, T-shirts, and stickers you buy; they will never cover up not doing the work.

Be the firefighter you want coming for your family.
