– Sampson Community College (SCC)’s Truck Driver Training program is one of the largest CDL training programs in North Carolina. Approved by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and listed on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry, the College employs highly trained professionals to train these trucking students seeking a Class A CDL. 🎉 Congratulations to Molly Hobbs, our 2026 Academic Excellence Award winner! A current senior at Hobbton High & SCC CCP student, she recently graduated with a 4.0 GPA while earning her Associate of Arts & Associate of Science degrees.

Her service work, combined with her academic success at the College, led her to be nominated by SCC’s faculty & staff as the Academic Excellence Award winner for 2026-- the highest academic honor the N.C. Community College System bestows. She was honored at this year's Spring commencement.

A crew of Vikings traded the classroom for the theatre this weekend to support our very own Laura Carraway as Mrs. Peacock in Clue at the Sampson Community Theatre.

We love seeing the Viking family show up for one another — on campus and on stage. There is still one more weekend of performances if you would like to catch Laura in action. Mrs. Peacock may or may not have done it… but she definitely stole the scene for SCC!
