The Henry County Detention Center is currently taking applications for full time Detention Officers.

If you have an interest in law enforcement this is the perfect entry-level position for you. This job will give you the experience in every aspect of law enforcement. You will learn: transportation of inmates, qualify with a handgun and shotgun, deescalate volatile situations, restraint procedures, legal aspects, general day-to-day operations of a law enforcement agency, and much more. These tasks are essential tools law enforcement officers use every day. If you want to get ahead of your peers, add to your resume and come work for us. If you are 18 years old or older and are interested in a career in law enforcement, the Jail is the best place to start your career. You will get paid $14.00 an hr and hopefully soon, More. The way our schedule works, you get half the year OFF. The equivalent of 6 months off a year. That is about 76 more days off a year than most jobs, and full county benefits, which include extra pay on holidays, vacation days (which are more days off), great sick leave hours, retirement and investment plans, health insurance, vision, and dental.
