HOLIDAY REMINDER: No trash or recycling will be picked up on Juneteenth or Independence Day.

JUNETEENTH - Friday, June 19th route for trash & recycling will be picked up on Monday, June 22, 2026.

INDEPENDENCE DAY - Friday, July 4th route for trash & recycling will be picked up on Monday, July 6, 2026.

ROAD CLOSURE on CHURCH STREET near the MAIN STREET intersection begins Friday, June 19, 2026, and continues until the end of July 2026 for the repair/rehabilitation of the Counterpane Brook culvert.

Please plan ahead for a new traffic pattern or avoid this area by taking an alternate route. Thank you for your patience while we make this critical improvement.

The Memorial Day parade is canceled due to rain. The speaking portion of the program will be held inside Town Hall at 9 am.

Town meeting is Monday, June 1 at 7pm. Town election is Monday, June 8 from 7am-8pm. Be sure you are registered for both.

7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Monday, April 13:
Burdett Hill (High School to Summit Street), Harbor, South Meadow, Sterling Street, and Greeley Hill areas.

Tuesday, April 14:
North End (High Street, Main Street, and all side streets to Union Street). Lower Burdett Hill (Beacon Street to Pleasant Street), Grove Street, and Nashua Street areas.

Wednesday, April 15:
Central Park, Water Street (entire length) and all side streets, and the Acre district (from Cameron/Route 70 to Wilson/Clamshell Road, including all streets in between).

Thursday, April 16:
Acre district (Oak Street, Chace Street, Berlin Road, and all side streets), as well as Bolton/Lancaster Road and Woodruff Heights areas.

Friday, April 17:
Reserved if additional time is needed.

Water pressure may be low for short periods during flushing, so residents are encouraged to plan accordingly. If water becomes discolored, run the water until it clears. Using a faucet without an aerator—such as a bathtub faucet—works best.

PARKING NOTICE: Snow removal tonight Thursday 2/26/26 starting at 10pm in the Downtown Business District & surrounding areas.

The Department of Public Works will be working overnight Thursday, February 26 starting at 10pm until the morning of Friday, February 27 to remove snow in the following areas:

-High Street from Union St to Water St
-Church St from Main St to Chestnut St
-Union St from Chestnut St to High St
-Water St from High St to Main Street

Crews will be clearing snow from sidewalks, streets and intersection corners in the Downtown Business District and surrounding areas.

Residents on these streets are asked to please park their vehicles off street in their apartment lots or in town-owned public parking lots located on Church Street, Walnut Street, or Water Street.

Due to the incoming storm and predicted snowfall, a WINTER PARKING BAN has been declared from TONIGHT, Sunday, February 22, at 10 p.m. until the end of the storm tomorrow, Monday, February 23. PLEASE BE PREPARED TO GET YOUR VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD ON MONDAY.

PARKING BAN
During this ban, please get all vehicles off the public way between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. so snow removal and public safety crews can do their jobs safely. Any vehicles on the public way during this ban could be subject to tickets and towing. More info:

SIDEWALKS
In addition, town by-law requires property owners to remove snow and ice from sidewalks abutting private property. Sidewalks adjacent to your property should be cleared within five hours after a storm event.

CATCH BASINS and FIRE HYDRANTS
Please consider shoveling catch basins in front of your property to reduce flooding and shoveling nearby fire hydrants to increase access in the event of a fire emergency in your area.

SAND OR ROCK SALT AVAILABLE
Sand or rock salt should be applied after storm to aid traction and to prevent refreezing. Clinton residents may fill pails of sand at no charge at the Dept. of Public Works gate at 99 Woodlawn Street.
