Today the City of Clinton won the gold medal for THE BEST WATER IN THE USA. In the Absence of Interim Public Works Director Travis Anderson, Tyler Wise accepted the award on the behalf of the City of Clinton. We would like to thank Travis Anderson for all the hard work and dedication that he has given to the Water Treatment Plant, Public Works, and the City of Clinton. We are proud to receive this award and be designated not just for North Carolina, but for the USA.🥇

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: The City of Clinton has completed its analysis of its drinking water following the repair of the water main break on Wall Street, which affected the street and the surrounding areas. It is no longer necessary to boil water in the affected areas. Please refer to the System Pressure Advisory Rescinded notification below.

We have a MAJOR (6-inch line) water leak on Fayetteville St, in the center of town. Several utility customers are very likely to see discolored water, as this will affect multiple areas of town.
Our water tanks are not filling at normal levels due to this leak, so water is being pulled from multiple directions. These flow changes often cause discoloration of water.

Furthermore, a number of customers will experience outages while we repair this leak. We will try to affect the fewest customers possible and get those cut off back on as soon as possible.

As of now, Public Works crews are working as quickly as possible to repair the leak.
