Attention 5th-12th (as of 26/27 school year) Grade Students: We will be hosting a Superintendent's Tournament Series (5th-8th Division and 9th-12th Division) for the following events:

As we prepare for the next step in the SVCS Strategic Plan, we will hold an informational meeting on June 10, 2026, at SVMS. The meeting will be held in the LGI (enter at the main entrance).

Throughout the 2025-2026 school year, we have held Vision Team meetings with staff, parents, and students. We have discussed the future of our facilities and the configuration of our district. Across the state, funding levels continue to change, and we would like to stay ahead of the curve. We are financially sound and have continued to raise compensation across the board, which increases employee retention rate, providing stability for our students and staff.

We are holding this informational meeting to brainstorm the pros and cons of renovating our elementary schools or the possibility of moving all students to one campus. Previously, we had discussed building an elementary school on the MS/HS campus. However, our enrollment does not justify a construction project that would increase property taxes. We have discussed the idea of SVMS becoming a K-6 building and SVHS becoming a 7-12 building beginning in the 2029-2030 school year.

The meeting will be livestreamed and archived on the SVCS YouTube channel. However, we invite you to attend in person. You may see the agenda below.

It is hard to believe that today is the last day of school! It feels like this first year in the new role has been a whirlwind! Personally, moving to a new house in August, my wife and I welcomed our daughter, Mabry, to the world in September, and both my wife and I took on new roles in our careers!

For South Vermillion, Mrs. Foster and I didn't know quite what to expect entering our first year. The staff around us at Central Office, the school administrators, the certified staff, the classified staff, the parents, the students, and the community, in general, have helped us create a vision for this corporation of "Small Town Heart, Big Time Future."

The support has been overwhelming, and we are excited to move this corporation forward, as we want to provide the best possible programming and facilities for our students and community!

We love this Small Town! Here is to you making memories with your family this summer!
