Missouri Residents Targeted by a New Wave of Text Scams

The Missouri Department of Revenue urges Missourians to remain alert as another
surge in phishing texts has been reported. These texts are often threatening and falsely
claim to be from a trusted source, such as the Missouri Department of Revenue, the
Department of Motor Vehicles, or the DMV. These text messages may include a warning
regarding unpaid traffic violations, outstanding toll charges, or other fines owed.
These texts are NOT from the Missouri Department of Revenue and should be treated
as scams. The department will not send requests for payment or request personal
information via text message. If you receive one of these phishing texts, take the
following action:
 Do not click on links
 Do not provide personal information such as Social Security numbers,
banking details, or passwords
 Do not respond to the text
 Delete the text

Please help increase public awareness and fraud protection by sharing this alert with
family, friends, and colleagues.

The Patrol would like to remind the public that driver examination stations throughout the state will be closed Thursday, May 8, 2025, in observance of Truman Day. Normal operations will resume on Friday, May 9, 2025.

Attention please. There are 2 massive text scams going on right now. The first one is a text about tolls, it has been verified as a scam. The second is a text saying you need to pay a fine in 12 hours or by a day within the next 48bhours from Missouri Drivers license bureau. The department of revenue did not send those texts. Be aware of scams, especially one that look threatening.

We will not open on Monday, January 6th because of the ice/snow storm.

Many schools & other locations are closed on Monday in storm-impacted areas. And several more inches of snowfall is expected through the night. It will take some time to clear the roadways.

We have an opening for a part time clerk. 20-40 hours per week, flexible schedule, Monday - Friday. $15 an hour, must pass Department of Revenue and Missouri Highway Patrol fingerprint background check. Just drop off contact information/simple resume to any of the clerks in the office.
