Anderson County 911 - TN Anderson County 911 is the primary Emergency Communications Center in Anderson County. Regina Copeland 911 Director

The Anderson County Emergency Communications District, is the primary Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for Anderson County, TN. It serves all residents inside the county, Norris, Rocky Top and Oliver Springs. The district manages the county's E911 center, that is responsible for answering all emergency and non emergency calls for service from within Anderson County. The center is equipped with

the latest in Enhanced 911 technology and is responsible for dispatching Sheriff, Fire, and EMS. The district is also responsible for assigning all physical addresses in the county.

🎆 BEFORE YOU CALL 9-1-1 ABOUT FIREWORKS... 🎆

As we approach the holiday weekend, please remember that 9-1-1 is for life-threatening emergencies and situations requiring an immediate police, fire, or EMS response.

While fireworks can be loud and disruptive, routine fireworks complaints and general noise complaints are not typically emergencies. Calling 9-1-1 for non-emergency issues can tie up emergency lines and delay help for someone experiencing a true emergency.

Please call 9-1-1 only if:
Someone is injured
A fire has started or is threatening property
There is an immediate danger to life or safety

If your concern is simply noise from fireworks, please use the appropriate non-emergency number for your local law enforcement agency.

Help us keep 9-1-1 available for those who need it most.

As National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week comes to a close, we want to take a final moment to recognize the professionals behind the headset and everything this job asks of them.

Telecommunicators do far more than answer phones. They manage multiple emergencies at once, gather critical information, and make real-time decisions that impact lives.

They provide life-saving aid like guiding CPR, helping deliver babies, giving direction during fires, and giving pre-arrival medical instructions.

They do this through long hours, high call volumes, and constant responsibility. In many centers, including our own, staffing challenges mean they often carry an even heavier workload, and still, they show up.

What they hear and experience doesn’t end when the call does. The weight of those moments can stay with them. Yet they continue to answer the next call, ready to help.

While this week is dedicated to recognizing their work, their impact is felt every day of the year.

To our telecommunicators: thank you for your resilience, and your dedication to this community. We are proud of you and grateful for everything you do, this week and every week.
