Rock County has declared an emergency following severe storms, an EF1 tornado, and continued flooding concerns. Many communities remain significantly impacted, with the Rock River expected to crest starting Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
The Rock County Emergency Operations Center is actively coordinating with the National Guard for additional manpower and sandbag resources. However, volunteers are still urgently needed to help protect homes, roads, and critical infrastructure.

How Can You Help?
Volunteer! Please come prepared: dress for the weather, wear sturdy boots, bring work gloves and your own shovel (and a spare if you have it!). Sign up at co.rock.wi.us.
Call 211 to report damage from the storm. Residents whose structures were damaged are asked to call to report damage to their homes, mobile homes, apartments, or businesses. This helps local agencies identify impacted areas and plan assessments.
The Rock County website (www.co.rock.wi.us) is updated with flooding resources including an updated map, recovery updates, and volunteer information. Local municipalities remain the most targeted resource for more information.
