Therapeutic Recreation is the purposeful use of recreation activities to meet the needs of individuals in six domains: physical, social, emotional, cognitive, spiritual and leisure functioning. The Department of Therapeutic Recreation is unique to the City of Clinton in that it is the only program throughout the state that focuses strictly on two very important populations: individuals ages 50+ an

d those with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IFD). The Department of Therapeutic Recreation offers a variety of services and programs such as Challenger League sports, educational classes, fitness programs, travel, dancing, daily games, social events, painting, and much more.

We wrapped up Spirit Month last week with a delicious Tasty Tuesday sponsored by Meghan Newman with Vital Caring, an entertaining Lip Sync Battle where our guest judges gave helpful feedback to each participant, and a relaxing Tropical Paint & Sip! Our Living Young participants truly showed out and ended Spirit Month on a high note!

This past Friday, our Living Young participants had such a great time! We want to give a HUGE thank you to Light Of Entertainment, LLC for coming out and putting on such an amazing performance for us. The music, dancing, and energy was everything!❤️
Our participants truly enjoyed themselves, and we loved seeing all the smiles and fun throughout the room. Thank you again, Light of Entertainment, for making our day so special!
