THE ROAD HAS BEEN REPAIRED AND IS NOW OPEN.

The Texas Township Road Commissioner has implemented a temporary closure of Little Galilee Road between Bearsdale and Bobcat Road, anticipated to last at least one month, to undertake essential repairs. We are starting earlier than posted instead of 7:30 am we are starting at 6:30 am

Crews are at Heritage Road at Route 51 getting ready to start oiling and chipping.

Attention: Texas Township Residents

We will start oiling and chipping our roads Wednesday, September 10, 2025, starting around 7:30 a.m.

We are oiling and chipping the following roads:

1. Heritage Road at Route 51 to Bond Road
2. Little Galilee Road at Route 51 to Bearsdale Road
3. We will work on the west end of Little Galilee Road to Bobcat Road.
4. We will work on the hill on East Road only.
5. Janvrin Road from Rowell Road to Little Galilee Road
6. Rowell Road from Bearsdale Road to Little Galilee Road

Texas township residents - you should receive a flyer in the mail next week regarding our annual spring clean up days.
Our clean up days will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 9 to 5 and Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 1 to 3.
We will NOT accept TVs, electronics, yard waste or hazardous materials (tires, oil, chemicals). Questions? Contact Bryan Dial at 217-840-9563.

Attention: Texas Township Residents
We will start oiling and chipping our roads tomorrow morning, September 9, 2024, around 6:30 a.m.
We will start at Lake Fork Road.
Next, will be Janvrin Road (South of Rowell Road only - no houses are on this section of Janvrin Road).
The next roads we will work on should start around mid-morning.
Those roads will be Stage Coach Road, Paintball Road, Seven Hills Road, Burns Hills (just the hill - nothing else on Burns Hill Road will be oiled and chipped)
We will then proceed to Bond Road and Birch Road.
We will finish on Violet Valley Road. This should be the route, but, of course, it may change.

Bond Road is now open.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Attention: Texas Township Residents:

Road Commissioner Dial advises that he will be closing Bond Road tomorrow to work on a culvert. Approximate time of closure will be 8:00 a.m. He expects the road will be closed for most of the day.
Thank you for your patience while our crews work on this issue.

Attention: Texas Township Residents
We will start oiling and chipping our roads tomorrow morning around 7:00 a.m. .

We will start at Lake Fork Road from the old Pepper Plant (old Route 51) and head east.

Next, will be Little Galilee Road from Route 51 to Texas Church Road. We will also oil and chip the Texas Church parking lot.

Our next road is Cannan Road.

From there, we will work on Burns Hill Road from Route 51 to Bond Road. Birch Road will be oiled and chipped during this phase.

We will then oil and chip the hill only on Burns Hill Road.

We will finish with Stagecoach Road and Paintball Road.

Edit - Burns Hill Road is now open

Please avoid Burns Hill Road at the hill near Bill Gentry's house. Power lines are down. Corn Belt does not have a timeframe for repairs.
Road Commissioner Dial and his crew are out picking up trees and debris on the road.
