White River Area Agency on Aging provides in home services for the elderly and disabled to enable them to live in their own home. Our services include but are not limited to personal care, light housekeeping, adult companion services, respite, targeted case management, transportation services, personal emergency response systems, assisted living, low income housing for people 62 and older, Medicar

e and Medicare part D counseling. Our Mission: To advocate for, and develop a coordinated system of programs and services that improve and enhance the quality of life for older and at risk adults and enables them to live independently with dignity in the least restrictive environment.

✨ Program Spotlight: Family Caregiver Program ✨

At White River Area Agency on Aging, we understand the vital role caregivers play every single day. Our Family Caregiver Program, operated by Sharon Johnson, is dedicated to supporting those who spend their time caring for loved ones.

This program helps connect eligible caregivers with valuable local resources including respite care, educational materials, support groups, and additional services designed to ease the challenges of caregiving. Through these services, caregivers can find encouragement, temporary relief, and support while continuing to care for those they love most.

The Family Caregiver Program serves individuals caring for loved ones aged 60 and older who may be considered frail, have dementia-related diagnoses, or require daily supervision and assistance with everyday activities.

One of the greatest impacts of this program is helping caregivers realize they are not alone. From respite opportunities to supportive guidance, WRAAA is committed to helping families navigate caregiving with compassion and care.
