Sampson Middle School students are getting hands-on experience in the Paxton Patterson Career Exploration Lab, where they explore a variety of exciting career pathways through engaging, real-world activities.

College & Career Ready LabsⓇ provide the ultimate career exploration experience, engaging students in authentic problem-based learning as they discover their interests and aptitudes.

In the lab, students participate in:
• Hands-on projects
• Two-person team collaboration
• Career exploration activities
• Learning experiences that are available on any device, anytime

These interactive labs allow students to learn by doing, helping them build skills, explore career possibilities, and start thinking about their future pathways.

📬 Sampson Middle School – Career of the Month!

The Career of the Month focus at Sampson Middle School is helping students explore careers in a fun and meaningful way!

In December, students learned about what it’s like to be a mail carrier. Through daily announcements, they discovered details about the job — including routes, job responsibilities, and even how weather can affect deliveries.

To bring the career to life, students created their very own Post Office in a classroom! Students wrote cards and letters to teachers and friends, and our student mail carriers sorted and delivered 346 pieces of mail throughout the school. 📫✉️

What a fun and hands-on way to introduce careers and help middle school students start thinking about their future!

Sampson Middle School had the Cosmetology Department at Sampson Community College to come talk with students about the program, what they offer for students, and careers they can get after they finish the program.

Sampson Middle School FFA sponsored a Lunch and Learn in honor of FFA week and CTE Month in February. The presenters were from Butler Farms in Roseboro. They talked with students about their farm, what they grow, and how they contract out with grocery stores to sell their organic vegetables.
