Several weeks ago, JJ Tree Service from Lincoln, IL cut down a large tree on Habitat’s lot on E. Julia Street. This lot will be the site of our next Habitat home. They cut the tree so Habitat could dispose of it and removed the large trunk part of the tree. We were very happy with their service and their price. Thank you very much, JJ, we will call you again for your service.

On March 10, 2025, we met with our latest Habitat family, Mr. & Mrs. Dillon Barnard, to sign all the legal documents to make a Habitat home their own. With the help of John Baldwin of DeWitt Savings & Loan, the Barnards could secure a grant regarding the purchase of their first home. The Barnards and Habitat for Humanity of DeWitt County are very thankful for their help in this transaction. All the documents in this transaction were prepared and presented by the law office of Taylor and Lynch—many thanks for their service and help.

Habitat is looking for someone to cut a tree down on one of our lots. The large maple tree is on the southwest corner of the empty lot at 523 E Julia St. in Clinton. We need someone who is insured and can remove any wood over about 15” in diameter. The rest of the leaves and branches we will remove. We are looking at a removal before November 1st. You can pm me with a bid and any question you might have.
