A member of the Sampson County Republican Party leadership was contacted by a news source stating a new candidate had informed them the Sampson County Republican Party encouraged them to run for office.

To put that rumor to rest. The Sampson County Republican Party has not asked any candidate to run for any office.

Per the State GOP Plan of Organization, we cannot endorse anyone in a primary election.

Sampson County Republican Party Hosts Record-Breaking Reverse Drawing Dinner

CLINTON, NC – On September 30, 2025, the Sampson County Republican Party proudly hosted its annual Reverse Drawing Dinner and Fundraiser at the Sampson County Agri-Expo Center. The event drew hundreds of conservatives from across the county who gathered not only for fun and fellowship, but also to network and strengthen their support for the Republican Party.

Earlier this year, Republicans countywide elected an entirely new slate of leadership during the March county convention. I was honored to be elected Chair, alongside Vice Chair McKenzie Grady, Treasurer Bryan Smith, and Secretary Natalie Tart. Additionally, an at-large delegation was chosen, consisting of Ron Ennis, Dickie Walters, Scott Grantham, Glenn Tart, and Daniel Ruggles.

Since March, the newly elected Executive Committee has worked diligently to reinvigorate the local party. One of our first actions was the formation of a Finance Committee, chaired by Marcus Smith, with members Hannah White and Daniel Ruggles. Their primary goal was ambitious: sell 500 tickets to this year’s dinner.

I am proud to announce that they not only met that goal—they shattered it. With over 640 tickets sold, this year’s Reverse Drawing Dinner was the most successful fundraiser in Sampson County Republican Party history. This success was made possible by the hard work and dedication of many dedicated republicans who put “boots on the ground” selling tickets.

This achievement is a testament to the energy and commitment of Republicans across our county. This is not a “good ole boys club.” This is a movement of working-class conservatives who are united in one simple, yet powerful mission: to elect strong conservative candidates who will stand up for the citizens of Sampson County every single day.

It was an honor to have NC State Auditor Dave Boliek attend and deliver the key note speech for the event. Also a special thanks to Michele Nix for being our emcee and Chad Thompson Acoustic for providing special music.

I am deeply proud of our Executive Committee, our Finance Committee, and every Republican who contributed to making this historic event possible. Together, we will not fail! We are building a stronger party and a brighter future for Sampson County.

This Easter, let is be especially thankful for the blessings of faith, family, and freedom. The resurrection reminds us of the power of redemption, the importance of truth, and the promise of hope — all of which are at the heart of our nation’s founding.

America was built on the belief that our rights come from God, not government. That foundation of faith and individual liberty is what makes this country truly exceptional. On this day of renewal, may we remember the values that ground us: personal responsibility, strong families, limited government, and unshakable faith.

Happy Easter, and may God continue to bless this great nation!
