Greetings, fellow Clintonians.
Just touching base to remind everyone to vote Tuesday, June 8. Polls are open in Clinton 7am till 7pm.
I’d like to thank everyone for being so courteous and receptive as I walked door to door throughout neighborhoods in Clinton. If time did not permit me to visit with you in person, I want you to know I welcome and am grateful for your support.
As I walked the various neighborhoods, one thing was very clear:
We are all very proud of Clinton and wish to see it prosper and continue to grow.
Remember, together we can do anything. I appreciate your vote.
Sincerely,
Mayor Phil Fisher

Clinton Mayor Fisher Negotiates Generous LED Lighting Upgrade with Entergy Mississippi

“I am pleased to report that I have negotiated an agreement with Entergy Mississippi to retrofit 1800 street lights to high efficiency LED lights at no cost to the City, saving the City $58,770,” Clinton Mayor Phil Fisher announced today.

“In addition, the 1800 LED lights will save the City of Clinton approximately $5.00 per light equaling an additional savings of $9,000 per month or $108,000 per year,” he added.

This project will take approximately one year to complete. These 1800 lights coupled with the 300 lights retrofitted in 2019, will complete the street lighting in the City to LED. Once complete, the retrofit will result in a yearly savings of $126,000 to the City General Fund street lighting budget of $650,000.

“Entergy Mississippi has always been an active community partner, and this shows their commitment to our City. The LED lighting will enhance safety for the citizens of Clinton for years to come,” Fisher concluded.
