The Village of Clinton has passed a Local Law regarding Short-Term Rentals (STR). Like the January 2026 Oneida County Short-Term Rental Law, the Village Law now requires registration of these properties. This law applies to any residential rental unit leased for fewer than 30 consecutive days, including listings on platforms such as Airbnb and Vrbo, as well as other private or independent listings. Unlike the Oneida County STR Law, the Village will not collect a bed tax. The Village Registration fee is part of the application.

Clinton merchants are open during this summerโ€™s NYS Department of Transportation road and sidewalk reconstruction project.
As an extra incentive to shop local, CKIC is sponsoring six weekly drawings for a chance to win one of five $25 gift certificates for purchases made at any participating Clinton Chamber of Commerce business.

All you have to do is shop at a participating business in the village downtown area and complete an entry form to be entered to win.
Drawings are held each Thursday through August 20, 2026. All entries are also eligible to win the $500 grand prize, which will also be drawn on August 20th.

Members of the Hamilton College hockey team drew the recipients of the $25 gift certificates, and Steven Tepper, Hamilton College President, drew the name of the $500 grand prize winner.

The American Red Cross is having a BLOOD DRIVE in Clinton on FRIDAY, AUGUST 21, 2026 from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM at the CLINTON V.F.W., 49 FRANKLIN AVENUE, CLINTON, NY 13323.

For just the second time in their history, the Red Cross has issued a national blood crisis. Blood donations have fallen to a four-year summer low, worsening this summerโ€™s emergency shortage.

Donors during the month of August will receive a $20 Amazon gift card by email!
