Members recently traveled to FDIC stopping by Task Force Tips to check on some borrowed equipment from CFD!

Another successful FVTC middle school career fair. Over 1200 students in 20 schools had a chance to learn about careers in Firefighting and Emergency Medical Services.

This career fair is uniquely “hands on” and between dummy drags, getting in apparatus and learning how to operate an extinguisher we hope a few more students left today with a bit more knowledge for the question “what do you want to do when you grow up?”

With Clintonville’s Command Center closing tonight, Firefighters leave the station unoccupied for the first time since Monday evening. We are thankful to all our emergency service partners and so many that helped us meet our objectives established over the past few days. We are thankful to the community that graciously kept the staff nourished. We now turn our attention and thoughts to our friends south tonight.

Remember to call 211 to report damage and seek assistance related to this weather event.

Report of: Evacuation Order Lifted for Waupaca County Residents
Location: Waupaca County

Information:

Waupaca County Emergency management officials have lifted the evacuation order for residents who were displaced due to recent flooding. Affected individuals may now return to their homes.

While the evacuation order has been lifted, a Flash Flood Watch remains in effect overnight. Residents are urged to remain vigilant as conditions can change rapidly. Please continue to monitor local weather updates and official alerts and be prepared to evacuate again if necessary.

Residents are also reminded of the following safety precautions:
• Do not drive through flooded roadways. Turn around and do not put yourself in danger.
• Do not bypass or go around barricades. They are in place to protect lives and property.
• Exercise caution around standing water, debris, and potentially damaged infrastructure.
• Allow extra travel time and remain alert for hazardous conditions.

Public Assistance and Emergency Information
• Call 2-1-1 with any questions regarding evacuations, available resources, or community assistance.
• Dial 9-1-1 only in the event of an emergency.
