Report of: Evacuation Order Lifted for Waupaca County Residents

Information:
Waupaca County Emergency management officials have lifted the evacuation order for residents who were displaced due to recent flooding. Affected individuals may now return to their homes.
While the evacuation order has been lifted, a Flash Flood Watch remains in effect overnight. Residents are urged to remain vigilant as conditions can change rapidly. Please continue to monitor local weather updates and official alerts and be prepared to evacuate again if necessary.
Residents are also reminded of the following safety precautions:
• Do not drive through flooded roadways. Turn around and do not put yourself in danger.
• Do not bypass or go around barricades. They are in place to protect lives and property.
• Exercise caution around standing water, debris, and potentially damaged infrastructure.
• Allow extra travel time and remain alert for hazardous conditions.
Public Assistance and Emergency Information
• Call 2-1-1 with any questions regarding evacuations, available resources, or community assistance.
• Dial 9-1-1 only in the event of an emergency.
