The AI picture doesn't make much sense, but this is important. Please post your address at the end of your driveway and/or on your home. Emergency responders can have a terrible time locating your residence in an emergency, delaying your access to emergency care when seconds matter the most.

Harold Simms was sixty-four years old and he had lived on Maple Street in Millbrook Georgia his entire life and in 1946 the fire department's pumper truck took eleven minutes to find a house on Maple Street where a woman was having a heart attack because the house numbers were faded and the street was dark and eleven minutes was too long and the woman survived but eleven minutes was too long and Harold Simms could not stop thinking about eleven minutes.
He went to the town council. He told them the house numbers on Maple Street were faded and dangerous and needed repainting. The town council agreed and said they would put it on the list. The list in Millbrook Georgia in 1946 was a substantial document and things on it moved slowly.
Harold looked at the list. He looked at the fire station two blocks away. He went to the hardware store and he bought black paint and white paint and a good brush and the next morning he started at one end of Maple Street and he painted every house number on every curb from one end of the street to the other.
It took him three days. He was sixty-four years old and getting up and down off his knees was not what it had been but he did it because the numbers needed doing and waiting for the list was not acceptable after eleven minutes.
When he finished Maple Street he looked at Oak Street. Oak Street's numbers were not much better. He went back to the hardware store.
He painted the curb numbers on every street in Millbrook Georgia. Fourteen streets. Six weeks. Sixty-four years old. Every curb. Every number. Clear white numbers on black paint that the fire department could read in the dark from a moving truck.
The fire chief came to see him when he was done. He said it was the most useful thing anyone had done for fire response in Millbrook in twenty years.
Harold said he just kept thinking about eleven minutes.
The fire chief said he understood.
Harold said: "Nobody should die because a number is faded. That is a fixable problem. I fixed it."
That is all. That is the complete story. He identified a fixable problem. He fixed it. Fourteen streets. Six weeks. Sixty-four years old. On his knees on the curb. Because nobody should die because a number is faded. He fixed it. That is everything.

Question: What is the single, most effective, and simplest way to prevent disease?

Answer: Wash your hands often.

Mom was right, wash your hands often, before preparing and eating meals, after using the restroom, and after returning home from work or shopping. Alcohol based gels and disposable gloves do little when you fail to wash your hands with soap and water.

This handwashing demonstration will show you how handwashing can get rid of germs and chemicals that get on our hands every day.Comments on this video are al...
