The Dickenson County Sheriff’s Office extends our deepest condolences to our neighbors at the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office, the Foster family, and the entire Buchanan County community as they mourn the passing of Sheriff Ray Foster.

Sheriff Foster dedicated many years of his life to law enforcement and public service, faithfully serving and protecting the citizens of Buchanan County. His years of service, leadership, and commitment to his community leave behind a lasting legacy that will not be forgotten.

The loss of a fellow law enforcement leader is felt far beyond county lines. During this difficult time, Sheriff Jeremy Fleming and the men and women of the Dickenson County Sheriff’s Office stand alongside our brothers and sisters in Buchanan County.

During the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign, deputies with the Dickenson County Sheriff’s Office will be watching for impaired drivers.

If you choose to drink, choose NOT to drive.
