As the youth development program of the nation’s 109 land-grant universities and the Cooperative Extension System, 4-H fosters an innovative, “learn by doing” approach with proven results. The 4-H Study of Positive Youth Development, a longitudinal study conducted by the Institute for Applied Research in Youth Development at Tufts University, shows youth engaged with 4-H are:
•Nearly two times more likely to get better grades in school;
•Nearly two times more likely to plan to go to college;
•41 percent less likely to engage in risky behaviors; and
•25 percent more likely to positively contribute to their families and communities.

Dickenson County 4-H will be doing in-person 4-H Camp registrations too! Come out and honor our hometown heroes 🇺🇸 👮👮‍♀️👩‍🚒🚓🩺, enjoy great food, and give your kids (ages 9-13) an unforgettable week at 4-H 🍀 Camp July 27-31!

On Monday, May 25th, the Main St. Food Truck Rodeo will HONOR OUR HEROES and we invite y’all to join us for a patriotic Memorial Day celebration!!
⭐️AN AMAZING FOOD TRUCK LINE-UP featuring several veteran and first responder owned trucks!
⭐️LIVE MUSIC BY RON SHORT & THE POSSUM PLAYBOYS (Free concert!!)
⭐️FAMILY FUN with our usual games, raffles, good times, and great community!

Monday, May 25 from 5 to 8 pm.

Meet Harutaka! He hopes to study abroad to broaden his perspective, experience new cultures, and become more open-minded by connecting with people from different backgrounds. He is also excited to share Japanese culture, especially anime and manga. Additionally, he wants to grow more independent, study science in a new environment, and build confidence through new experiences and friendships.
