If you missed your chance to make a mini terrarium necklace this summer at Blue Springs State Park, we are offering this program one more time! Join us on September 5, 2026, at 2 PM to create your own tiny world to wear! Each participant will receive their own mini terrarium necklace, and we will work on assembling terrariums using all natural materials. During the program, we’ll also learn about the science behind terrariums. This program is perfect for all ages!

Want to learn the art of fairy houses? Join us at Blue Springs State Park on August 8, 2026, at 1 PM where we’ll be learning how to construct Leave No Trace fairy house structures outside out of things found in nature. These houses will be left constructed in the park and all participants will receive a fairy crown during the program to wear while they are setting up their fairy homes! This program is FREE with park admission.

At 10 AM, we'll be learning how to become an official Alabama State Parks Junior Ranger with a guided program! A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made the Catfish Rodeo at Blue Springs State Park such a great success!

It was wonderful to see so many families, friends, and anglers spending the day together enjoying fishing, fun, and the outdoors. A special thank you goes to our game wardens for hosting this event and helping make it such a memorable day.

Join us at Blue Spring State Park for our Catfish Rodeo on Saturday, May 30, 2026! This event is FREE for kids ages 15 and younger. Registration starts at 8 AM and fishing will last from 9 AM to 11 AM. Lunch and awards will follow after at pavilion 1. We look forward to a fun morning of fishing and family time at the park!
