Minnesota authors Allen Eskens, Bronsen Lemer, and Erin Soderberg Downing visited our library as a part of the Minnesota Book Awards Moving Words tour yesterday evening.
It was intriguing to hear each author's stories and perspectives both as a writer and an individual.

Allen also joined us at our book club discussion around his latest book, "The Quiet Librarian," right before the event.

We are currently in urgent need of full-size conditioners and full-size shampoo bottles. Our Hygiene Drive for unhoused youths will go through the end of May, and you can drop them off at the library. We appreciate your consideration 🙂

Our Hygiene Drive for homeless youth runs through May 31—and right now, we urgently need full-size conditioners (we’ve completely run out) and full-size shampoo bottles. These essentials do more than clean—they restore dignity, build confidence, and offer stability to young people facing homelessness.

You can drop off donations at Cloquet Public Library, Sappi, or the United Way office. Every bottle you give helps create a safer, more supportive path forward for youth in our community.

Together, we can stand beside them—not just with hope, but with real, lasting support. Join us. Make a difference today.
