Our aim is to nurture and develop each child’s potential during a stimulating and fun filled summer. We have created a relaxed environment where campers feel comfortable. Our small group size and excellent camper to counselor ratio assures the fostering of each camper’s emotional, social and physical needs. After a summer at PCDC, campers will feel a sense of accomplishment, importance and indepen
dence, which in turn builds strong self-esteem. Our camp facilities consist of 3 full size heated swimming pools, 2 tiny tot wading pools, a splash park, state-of-the art playground, nature center, 2 indoor gyms and an arts and crafts/woodworking/ceramics pavilion. The Palisades Country Day Camp is made up of 3 main groups:
* Tiny Tots – 2-3 Year Olds (9:30am-12: 30pm) Tiny Tots Extended Day – 2-3 Years Old (9:30am – 3:00pm)
* Pre-School Campers – 3-4 year Olds (9:00am-3:00pm)
* Senior Campers – 5-8 Year Olds (9:00 am-3:00pm)
Extended Care We offer “aftercare” for all of our campers from 3:00-5:00 at an additional cost. Please call the camp offices for information on these programs. Special EventsAlmost every day campers have the opportunity to participate in camp-wide special events. These specials events could take place any day of the week and our days are themed accordingly. Special Events include: Water Olympics, Carnival, Snow Day, Candy Land and much, much more! Our campgrounds include three heated swimming pools, Red Cross Certified Water Safety Instructors and Life Guards. Each child is given the opportunity to develop a strong sense of security and confidence in their water skills and grow to their fullest potential. We offer our campers two 30-minute swim sessions per day. The first is instructional, the second, recreational. Private swim lessons are available daily from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm at an additional cost. Elective programming is offered to our 5-8 year old campers at no additional cost. These classes are designed to allow each camper to customize their camp experience based upon their personal interests.
