Congratulations to the House of Amistad! They are the House winners for Bethany for the 2025-2026 school year! The House of Amistad is known for their kindness of heart and the peacock represents students finding their own feathers and discovering their brilliance! ❤️🦚

Congratulations class of 2026 🎉🎓 This morning we celebrated our Bethany alumni as they walked the halls one last time before graduation tomorrow night. We are so proud of them!

Students at Bethany Elementary School turned a simple collection project into a meaningful act of community service this school year, donating an impressive 171.5 pounds of pop tabs to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Charlotte.

The school’s House of Isibindi organized the pop tab collection, which ran from November through April and included a friendly competition among Bethany’s four school houses. Students, staff, and community members worked together throughout the year to collect tabs from aluminum cans, helping support families served by Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Leading the competition was the House of Amistad, which collected more than 51 pounds of pop tabs alone. In total, Bethany Elementary gathered approximately 175,000 tabs.

On Friday, May 22, members of the Isibindi House Council traveled to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Charlotte to personally deliver the donation. During the visit, students toured parts of the facility and learned how the collected tabs help provide support and resources for families with children receiving medical care.

We appreciate the overwhelming support from families and community members who contributed to the collection effort throughout the year.

We encourage the community to begin saving pop tabs for next year’s drive!

Today we might have been having too much fun at the Splash Bash to take a lot of pictures! Students that earned this incentive earned a water day with a tricycle car wash, bubbles, slip-n-slide, water slide, and more! It was a fantastic day! Many of our students also leveled up earlier this week to enjoy ice cream sundaes and a soda bar! 💦🥤🍦
