The Clover School District Auditorium (CSDA) kicked off its Silver Anniversary Performing Arts Series tonight with a special reception for season ticket holders.

Season ticket holders had the exclusive opportunity to visit the auditorium to pick up their tickets and enjoy music and refreshments. Guests were invited on stage to listen to a jazz combo perform.

For 25 years, CSDA has presented a full schedule of entertainment for the Clover community.

Representatives of the Burrell Foundation of York Electric Cooperative visited Clover School District (CSD) this week to present a check for $2,500 to the district's Social Work team.

The Burrell Foundation's mission is to create a better quality of life for community members living in York County.The funds provided by the Burrell Foundation will support unmet needs of students experiencing a lack of permanent housing. This is an ongoing partnership with the Burrell Foundation. Previous funds have assisted families with transportation, auto repairs, medical expenses, food and clothing.

The Roosevelt Middle School (RMS) Coffee Cart is now making the rounds to serve staff members, thanks to a generous community supporter.

Scooters Coffee is sponsoring the MultiCat 2/3 Coffee Cart. Scooters has supplied the program with coffee, cups, and aprons so that students are able to work on their life and social skills.

RMS is grateful for the support of Scooters Coffee in providing valuable opportunities for students.

TRAFFIC UPDATE: Road construction has closed the right lane of Oakridge Road where it intersects Highway 557. This closure will delay families in picking up students in the car rider line and impact district bus service to both Oakridge Elementary and Oakridge Middle School. Please exercise patience when driving in this area.

The CSD Board of Trustees, Leadership Team and District Office staff gathered this morning for a "Finish Line" celebration to mark the completion of the district's three new schools.

Staff members received "gold" medals in recognition of their important contributions to this HUGE undertaking and enjoyed a full breakfast.

Superintendent Dr. Sheila Quinn praised staff for their outstanding effort to ensure that everything was ready in these new buildings for the start of school on August 3.
