It is bitter sweet to see our 5th grade students moving on, but we are so proud of them! These students were celebrated at their Moving On Ceremony today. This student-led ceremony presented students with their well earned awards, and included a tribute performance by the Kinard Honors Choir. There was also a performance by the 5th grade class, and a memory slide show created by the teachers, which included pictures from throughout these students' tenure at Kinard. My how they have grown!!! Students and family then enjoyed a reception arranged by our wonderful PTO.

The 3rd and 4th grade Awards Ceremony was today at Kinard. We celebrated these students' accomplishments throughout the year, and reminisced with a slide show of memories from this year. There was also a performance in which each grade level sang under the direction of Mr. Woods, our music teacher. We are so proud of these first and second graders who were recognized during their Awards' Ceremony today! Students were presented with the awards that they worked so hard to earn throughout the year. Next the students delighted the audience with a special performance lead by Mr. Woods. To wrap up the celebration, everyone enjoyed a memory slideshow filled with special moments from throughout the school year.

Today, our Student Lighthouse Team celebrated the end of an amazing year with a fun and meaningful field trip to Winthrop University! Students participated in an engaging lesson led by an admissions counselor, toured the beautiful campus, explored a residence hall, and even made a quick Starbucks stop along the way. Throughout the experience, students also learned about the importance of community stewardship and leadership as they reflected on ways to positively impact their school and community. We are so proud of our student leaders and all they accomplished this year! Special recognition goes to Mr. Hartley and Mrs. Ahuja, SLT coordinators, for providing our leaders with this experience.

Congratulations to our Disc Golf Club/Team for competing at York Middle School in the Get Out And Throw (GOAT) Challenge today. Special thanks to Mrs. Meghan Smith for taking time to share her passion with our young leaders. We appreciate your commitment to our students.

A huge shoutout to Jordan Paden for helping our Kinard Leaders through their first tournament offering encouragement, tips, and even a spot to eat at his local restaurant, York 1786.
