The OSAA is happy to announce that executive board member Misty Wharton will serve a four-year term on the Board of Directors for the National Federation of State High School Associations ( NFHS ) it was announced today.
Wharton, who currently serves as the superintendent of Nestucca Valley School District, was approved as the at-large representative for Section 5 and 8. Section 8 comprise the states of Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Washington and Wyoming, while Section 5 comprises Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.
She joins Doug Ute (executive director, Ohio High School Athletic Association) and Erich Martens (executive director, Minnesota State High School League) as newcomers to the board of directors.
