We host an Incentive event for our families to come and shop with their "FB" bucks 2x/quarter. Yesterday was one of these events and one family member shared how much this helps her family so she can buy much needed food. This equalled $99 worth of product. She is ever thankful for having such a program to take part in.

Yesterday was a beautiful day. And it was a great day for Stamp Out Hunger. Thanks to our local letter carriers union, headed by Glen Walters, Southern Brazoria County pantries will be ready for summer when the children are out of school. The carriers loaded thousands of pounds of food into their mail trucks, because they love their customers and their community.
In addition, The Food Basket would like to thank Tammie Bell and for loaning us their moving truck. With TBT on our side, the forecasted rain didn’t touch us. And thanks go to -Tech for use of their high tech floor scale, drastically cutting the time for volunteers from Church of the Cornerstone Nazarene to unload the truck and sort donations.
Lastly, it takes a village to feed everyone. Thank you to all who donated food items to this massive effort.

Our bag to fill came in the mailbox today, hopefully so did yours!
Let's fill them up, leave in mailbox on Saturday and the food you give goes to our neighbors in need. Thank you for helping to Stamp Out Hunger

It's almost time for this event! On Thursday we will be hosting this state initiative event at Wesley FUMC in Clute.

Come learn, fellowship, and have some fun with our neighbors. Healthy sampling will happen too!

Participating is simple and easy: Just leave a bag of nonperishable items such as canned goods in a bag next to your mailbox and your letter carrier will handle the rest.
