The Clutier Public Library annual Cookie Exchange will be December 9 at the library. Anyone can bring in cookies and trade them for any other cookie, even up. This us NOT a fundraiser. Just a fun holiday get together for anyone who wants to participate. Paper plates and zip lock bags will be on hand for take outs. Coffee will be furnished.

Thursday we had a summer reading program brought to us by. ECICOG. They read a story and showed us how to make a craft using recycled materials. It was a good program and a great group of kids.

If you haven't seen this year's quilt stop in and take a look. It is primarily blue and white with pops of orange. Every year I say the new quilt is the best one yet, and this one is, again, the best one yet. Tickets are $10.00 each and the drawing will be held on November 7 at our annual soup day.

We have a large number of like new paperback books that are $0.50 or 3 for a dollar. If you don't wish to purchase them, stop in anyway and I will check them out to you. Right now I am in the process of putting more of them on the shelves. If you don't see what you want on those shelves, we have a lot more books to look at for all ages. I order new books in on a monthly basisi so come in and take a look.

I have started booking summer programs. On Thursday, June 22 @ 1:30pm we will welcome "Made by Maxine." The posting says that "Maxine will teach us about creating new things out of old things." This program is brought to us by ECICOG and your local solid waste commission. This group always shows us new and interesting things.

I have been working on getting more kids books in. We have a number of new graphic novels here now and I want to get more. Stop in and see what is happening at the library.

The library has a Little Free Pantry out in front that is currently full. I check it every day when I come to work and there is some good stuff in there. If you have a need, or a want, and can find it in the pantry, take that item and enjoy. If you can contribute to the pantry, just put things in. This is a no cost, no questions asked, anonymous way to possibly fill a need for anyone. Please take what you need, and give If you can.

We have 3 new younger kids books in. "Blue Bison needs a Haircut" by Scott Rothman, illustrated by Pete Oswald, "The Blur" by Minh Le and Dan Santat, and "Too Many Pigs and One Big Bad Wolf" by Davide Cali and Marianna Balducci. All three are available for checkout.

Great news. The 1942 Girls Basketball State ChampionshipTrophy is back at the Clutier Public Library in it's place in the center of the trophy case. Stop in and see it.
