In response to continued hot, dry weather and high fire danger throughout King County, the King County Fire Chiefs Association is issuing a Stage 2 Burn Ban effective immediately for the entire county.

All outdoor fires, including recreational campfires, cooking fires and ceremonial fires, are prohibited until further notice. Gas and charcoal grills are allowed, as long as they are on concrete surfaces, along with fireplaces and fire tables. More details: https://bit.ly/4wiABDW

-Impersonations of law enforcement, government agencies, or well-known companies
3. Verify Before You Agree
-Check if the company is licensed or registered
4. Protect Your Home
-Install security cameras or motion sensors
-Keep valuables out of sight and secure entry points.

Clyde Hill recently amended its code to allow for up to one member of the Civil Service Commission to be a resident from another city that contracts with the City for police services. There is currently one vacancy for a term expiring in 2029, and residents from Yarrow Point are invited to apply. Applications are due by 4 p.m. on August 26.
