Late last night, Ofc. C Hanson assisted a neighboring city on a house fire. He was advised the family dogs were still in the home. Without hesitation, Ofc Hanson ran into the home to rescue the beloved pets. He was later transported to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation exposure. We are happy to report that Ofc. Hanson will make a full recovery and the pets were rescued! 🐕 ❤️

Community Safety Alert
April 21, 2026

At 3:18 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, Clyde Hill and Medina Police responded to a reported disturbance in the 2300 block of 88th Place NE.

During the initial response, one of the involved parties claimed a firearm had been displayed. That statement was later withdrawn and investigators do not believe it to be accurate.
As officers arrived on scene, one individual fled on foot but was later detained a short distance away. The dispute was subsequently resolved.

After daylight, and out of an abundance of caution, King County Sheriff’s K-9 units assisted officers in searching the immediate area for any firearm that may have been discarded. No firearm was found, and we do not believe there is any ongoing danger to the public.
