🚒 LET’S HELP OUT OUR VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS! 🚒

With the extreme heat and dry conditions, our volunteer firefighters have been working hard responding to fires throughout our area.

Let’s come together as a community and try to help keep them stocked with some much-needed essentials while they’re out there protecting our community!

Every donation, big or small, helps support the men and women who volunteer their time to answer the call when we need them most.

❤️ Let’s show our volunteer firefighters just how much Clyde appreciates them!

This morning, I want to give a shout-out to all of our local heroes. While most of us were enjoying our weekend, or sleeping comfortably in our beds, these guys were out there keeping us safe from the fires that keep popping up in these dry conditions. If you haven't yet, please send up a prayer for these guys and offer your support to them where you can. LET’S GO, PUBLIC WORKS!!! 👏👏

Our Public Works crew worked their rumps off this evening to get this water line break repaired and WATER IS BACK UP AND RUNNING!

And this wasn’t an easy repair. Our crew repaired a 6-inch concrete water line while working under water pressure to get service restored as quickly as possible.

These guys put in the work when our community needs them, and tonight was no exception.

The City of Clyde truly appreciates the hard work, knowledge, and dedication our Public Works crew brings to the job every single day.

Great job, Public Works! Y’all knocked it out! 👏💪

📢 CITY SECRETARY ANNOUNCEMENT 📢

The City of Clyde is pleased to announce that Mayor Steele and the City Council have unanimously selected Chris Barnett to serve as the City Secretary for the City of Clyde.

Chris has been serving as Interim City Secretary and will now officially step into the role full-time. He is dedicated to supporting the goals and vision of the Mayor and City Council while working closely with City Administration, employees, and the citizens to continue moving Clyde forward.

A major focus given to him by the Mayor and Council will be to continue to strengthen the connection between our citizens and their local government. He is committed to continuing efforts that increase transparency, improve communication, and give our citizens greater access to and understanding of what is happening within their city government.

As a valued employee of the City of Clyde for 11 years, Chris has proved himself to be a valuable asset to the City of Clyde. He will take on this role in addition to his current position and will continue to act as the Public Affairs Officer and IT Director for the city.

Chris looks forward to serving the Council, our employees, and, most importantly, the citizens of Clyde. Help us celebrate by congratulating him when you see him around town!

🏫 SCHOOL IS BACK IN SESSION! 🚌

As you’re taking your kids to school and picking them up today, please be extra alert and watch for the flashing school zone speed signs.

🛑 Remember to stop for school buses when they are stopped and picking up or dropping off students. Keep an eye out for children crossing the roadway and never drive distracted.

Slow down, stay alert, and help us keep our students safe as they head back for their first day of school! 🎒📚
