As part of EMS Week 2026 and while celebrating 50 Years of Service, we took time to intentionally recognize members of the Citizens EMS family whose dedication, teamwork, and heart help keep this nonprofit rural ambulance service moving every day. For 50 years, Citizens EMS has proudly served Callahan County and surrounding communities—answering the call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. As a nonprofit rural ambulance service, our mission has always been rooted in serving our community, made possible through the dedication of our team, community partnerships, and the support of those who believe in what we do.

From emergency response and patient care to the countless behind-the-scenes efforts that keep our service moving, EMS is truly a team effort.

This week, we celebrate the dedication, sacrifice, resilience, compassion, and occasional questionable sleep schedules of the people who choose this profession and this mission. 🚑❤️
