Our annual Fish Fry fundraiser on October 10th is just around the corner, and an event of this size takes an entire village to pull off! The 𝗘𝘂𝗹𝗮 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 is actively seeking community support in three major areas:

𝟭. 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀We need hands on deck! Whether you can help with pre-event setup, serving food during the event, cleaning up afterward, or helping with donations, your time makes a massive difference.

𝟮. 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀We are looking for local businesses and individuals to partner with us as official event sponsors. This is a powerful way to show your community support while helping us cover event costs so 100% of ticket sales go directly back into life-saving equipment.

𝟯. 𝗔𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀Our Live and Silent Auctions are a huge part of our fundraising! We are seeking donations of any kind—gift baskets, tools, baked goods, handmade items, outdoor gear, or local business experience packages.

7/5/26 845 AM: Just an update this morning to mention that we have become more concerned with the threat of severe weather across portions of West Central Texas this afternoon and evening. Specifically the potential for some thunderstorms to produce very strong and damaging winds. These winds could exceed 60 mph, and in some isolated areas, may be even stronger.

Now, the timing hasn't changed from our earlier post, with the activity expected to develop north of I-20 (including Abilene and Sweetwater) after 4 PM, and then slide south towards San Angelo and Brownwood during the evening hours (after 6 PM). Cant rule out a little hail, but damaging winds really are the primary concern.
