🍂🦃 Happy Thanksgiving from the Clymer Borough Police Department! 🦃🍂
As we gather with friends and family to celebrate this season of gratitude, all of us at the Clymer Borough Police Department want to wish our community a warm, safe, and joyful Thanksgiving!
While you enjoy the holiday, please remember a few important safety tips to help keep everyone safe:
🚗 Don’t Drive Impaired
If you’ve had alcohol or anything that affects your ability to drive safely—even prescribed medication—please don’t get behind the wheel. Plan ahead with a designated driver, rideshare, or taxi.
😴 Avoid Driving While Tired
Holiday travel can mean long hours on the road. Driving while drowsy is dangerous—take breaks, switch drivers if possible, and don’t hesitate to rest if you feel sleepy.
📱 Stay Focused Behind the Wheel
Put the phone down, minimize distractions, and keep your full attention on the road, especially with increased holiday traffic.
🔥 Be Safe in the Kitchen
Thanksgiving is one of the biggest cooking days of the year—never leave your stove unattended, keep flammable items away from open flames, and ensure smoke detectors are working.
❄️ Prepare for Changing Weather
As temperatures drop, watch for icy spots on roads and sidewalks. Give yourself extra travel time and increase your following distance when driving.
Please enjoy your time with family and friends, and know that we are here for you—today and every day.
Happy Thanksgiving, Clymer and Marion Center Boroughs! Stay safe and enjoy the holiday! 🦃🍁
