*Children 10 and under run free with a paid adult
*Strollers are welcome
*No dogs please as we will be running on parts of school property

Beginning September 1, 2026 Coahoma City Hall/Water Department will no longer take phone payments. You will still be able to make payments on the website, and in person at the water office.

The City of Coahoma wants to remind residents that ALL fireworks in the City of Coahoma are ILLEGAL.

The best way to enjoy fireworks is to attend a professional, public show like Pops in the Park in Big Spring. Fireworks are considered explosive devices and are extremely dangerous. Every year, adults and children are injured or burned as a result of accidents with fireworks.

The city warns illegal firework activity can:

• Scare pets

• Cause injury

• Start fires

• Stress military members and veterans

It is unlawful for any person to set off any fireworks in the City of Coahoma. Our area is currently experiencing severe drought conditions. This has led to extreme fire danger conditions. Howard County, specifically, is currently under a burn ban. Dry vegetation, including grass, trees, scrubs, and even mulch, can quickly catch fire. In some cases, the conditions are explosive and can result in extensive property damage. The discharge of illegal fireworks generates a significant number of complaints every year. Please help us keep Coahoma safe and be respectful of your neighbors and refrain from shooting fireworks inside city limits!

Let’s beautify Coahoma! Join us this Saturday, June 27 at 8:00 a.m. at City Hall for a clean up day along the parade route.

Bring your gloves, trash bags, etc and help make our town shine. The more hands the faster the work will go.

City of Coahoma utility customers if you pay online you will need to do the steps for the multi-factor authentication to continue paying online. This must be done by June 30th. Please follow the steps and check your trash folder if you don’t get your six digit code.

City of Coahoma would like to remind you that water balloons are not allowed at the City park. This includes the splash pad. The balloons damage our equipment that operates the splash pad. Please educate yourself and children of the rules for the park and splash pad.
