Deer Cove This page can be used to share pics or memories. Look for upcoming parties. Deer Cove is the site of the original incline access to the coal mine pit.

Strip Mine Road ran right through what is now 1915 Lincoln Lake Dr. The Goose Lake Subdivisions were developed by Robert Drake in the 60's. Fred Agazzi purchased and named Deer Cove in 1968 and built a summer home attached to a trailer. Tom Ferguson bought the property from him in 1993 and in 1997 tore down the summer house and built the current house.

One of my favorite trees the Northern Catalpa for its large leaves and long seed pods and fast growth. These 4 were tiny and buried in tall thick brush about 10 years ago. As I cleared the brush I spared them and took care of them. There are several others on Deer Cove that grew from seeds spread from my neighbor’s huge catalpa.
