*****VOLUNTEER HELP NEEDED*****

We are in need of volunteers to help cover our weekly grocery pick up at Jewel in Diamond on Fridays. The position will involve driving to the store, picking up the donated items, returning them to the pantry location, and upon arrival there, unloading and storing the groceries in the church.

Recently, we were the EXTREMELY GRATEFUL recipient of a VERY KIND and GENEROUS donation from Berkots in Coal City, as part of their Roundup program.

Pictured here are Gary Onsen, store manager, presenting Jean Lissy, one of our lead pantry volunteers, with a check for $1,113.98.

We would like to extend a HUMBLE and APPRECIATIVE THANK YOU to Berkots and to the community for your THOUGHTFULNESS, GRACIOUSNESS. Please know this INCREDIBLE gift will be put to very good use, and will go a long way in allowing us to continue to provide groceries for our patrons.

In December, we held our annual Christmas box distribution. Recipients could choose from either a ham or turkey. Also included were the fixings to make a delicious Christmas dinner.

In all, on that day, we were able to help 86 families!!!!

We would like to extend a HUGE APPRECIATIVE THANK YOU to Andy Womack and Operation St Nick for VERY GRACIOUSLY providing the funds to purchase the boxes. We are sincerely grateful!!!

Additionally, to ALL of the INCREDIBLE VOLUNTEERS from Coal City Food Pantry and Hexagon Real Estate who selflessly gave of their valuable time and effort to assist with this endeavor, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!! Your assistance was INVALUABLE in making this event such a BIG SUCCESS!!!
