School buses are rolling! 🚌 This means more kids on the roads. Let’s keep them safe. 🚸

As parents, we’re all eager to send our kids off to another great school year. But let’s remember to slow down and be extra cautious on our roads. 🚦

Watch for kids at bus stops and crosswalks.

Put away distractions while driving.

Obey school zone speed limits.

With the recent power outages CCFPD has responded to many Carbon Monoxide incidents. As a reminder please make sure you are changing the batteries in your CO and Smoke detectors every 6 months. Even if they are hard wired, the batteries still need to be replaced.

When running a generator, make sure they are away from window openings and doors, so CO doesn’t creep into your home. Also, make certain that the windows near the generator are sealed properly and make extra precautions to seal those windows 100%.

Randolph Mantooth, best known as Firefighter-Paramedic Johnny Gage on Emergency!, has passed away at 80.

The show arrived on the cusp of what would become today’s all-hazards fire service, shaping the evolution of the profession and influencing countless firefighters, paramedics, and leaders who followed.
