As we finish up Mental Health Awareness Month we'd like to congratulate Paramedic Julie Bias and EMT Courtney Roach. Yesterday they were recognized as Crisis Intervention Team Champions.

At LCEMS we understand that the mental health of our team members and our community members are of the utmost importance and we pride ourselves on having a team highly trained to care for a mental health crisis with empathy and compassion.

No one better represents this ideal than these two. We are proud of you, and we are proud to have you caring for our community!

Last night LCEMS responded with Chesapeake Union Township Fire Department to a structure fire. Thankfully, no one was injured but this little guy did need our help. We're proud that at LCEMS all of our employees have a passion for helping every citizen of Lawrence County, even the furry ones! Lawrence County EMS Training Division is rolling out its first 3 Certified Advanced EMTs! So if you see Mr. Vallance, Mr. Endicott, or Miss Barber out and about, tell them congratulations!

We are so proud of everyone in our Advanced EMT class and look forward to each and every one of them earning their patch!

The best news? All 9 of our Advanced EMT students are already serving the citizens of Lawrence County as EMTS at LCEMS!
