As a new school year approaches, let’s all do our part to keep our community and our children safe! 🎒🏫 Please slow down in school zones, watch for children crossing the road, be mindful of buses and bus stops, and stay alert while driving.

While the school kids are on summer break, your Coal Grove Fire Fighters took the opportunity to train on a subject matter that no one ever wants to see. An MVC involving a school bus full of smoke and multiple victims. This hands on experience is invaluable for us to become as prepared and proficient as possible, a proficiency that our kids deserve. The CGFD would like to thank the Dawson Bryant Schools System for their cooperation. We would also like to thank Freddie Sisler and Adam McClain for their help in arranging this drill and as always the support of Lawrence Co 911 and Mike Boster is appreciated.

Rain or shine, the job still gets done. 🇺🇸🚒

While most people were trying to stay dry, our full crew showed up in the pouring rain to get the trucks cleaned up and parade ready for Memorial Day. That kind of dedication doesn’t stop for bad weather.

Proud of this crew for always showing up, putting in the work, and taking pride in representing our department and community. Be sure to wave when you see us in the Memorial Day Parade! 🇺🇸
