Today, we lost a true American treasure, Dolly Parton. But her music, her kindness, her laughter, and her incredible legacy will live on for generations to come.

Here at Greta Carrick Memorial Library, we are especially grateful for the love Dolly had for children, books, and the gift of reading. Her belief that every child deserves the opportunity to discover the magic of a book touched countless lives.

This beautiful Little Golden Book About Dolly Parton has a special place on our shelves. 📚💗 It reminds us that Dolly's story wasn't just about music—it was about dreams, perseverance, generosity, and giving back.

Dolly once said, “The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.” 🌈

Today, we remember the rainbow she brought into so many lives.
Rest peacefully, Dolly. Thank you for the songs, the stories, the laughter, and most of all, for reminding us to dream big and love one another. 🦋🎶📚

Our first coat has arrived to kick off the City of Coalmonts 3rd Annual Coats 4 Kids Drive.

Help us keep the children of Grundy County warm this winter!
The City of Coalmont is proud to host its 3rd Annual Coats 4 Kids Drive, running September 1 through October 16, 2026.
We are collecting new or clean, gently used coats, hats, gloves, and scarves for children and families in need.

Coalmont • Altamont • Beersheba Springs • May Justus • Palmer • Tracy City
Your generosity can make a real difference in the life of a child. ❤️
